Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner battle it out in a blockbuster China Open final and a clash of the world's two best players this year.

The 23-year-old Sinner, the world No. 1, won the Australian Open and the US Open to secure his first Grand Slam titles of the season, but in between the 21-year-old Alcaraz took the French Open and Wimbledon title. Alcaraz defeated Sinner in five sets in the Roland Garros semifinals, the last meeting between the two young rivals.

This will be the 10th match between the Italian and the Spaniard and their first final since 2022 after five consecutive meetings in the semi-finals. Sinner won the China Open last year and will be looking to defend his title, while Alcaraz will look to close the gap on world number one as the season progresses.

Off the field, Sinner continues to play amid his anti-doping controversy, which has taken a new turn since Beijing began. However, Sinner has rattled off 15 straight wins, while Alcaraz has won eight in a row since his surprise loss in the second round of the US Open.
