Record-breaking performances have become the norm for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola.

The club beat Slovan Bratislava 4-0 on Tuesday and is now unbeaten in 25 Champions League games, equaling the all-time record.

Which side are they level with now? Their biggest rival is of course Manchester United.

ฤฐlkay GรผndoฤŸan opened the scoring with his first goal since returning to the club, before Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and James McAtee came into the game.

The win means City have not lost since their dramatic 3-1 semi-final second leg defeat to Real Madrid in May 2022.

Since then, the club won the famous trophy for the first time, but lost on penalties to Los Blancos last time out, although the record only lasts for 90 minutes.

United's track record spanned the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons, both of which reached the Champions League final. They won the first on penalties against Chelsea, while they lost the second 2-0 to Lionel Messi's Barcelona.

The manager of this Barรงa team? Fittingly, a young Guardiola.

City will have the chance to break the record when they face Sparta Praha at the Etihad Stadium on October 23.
